On the quiet island of Little Cayman, an even quieter area called Mahogany Bay holds the biggest population of iguanas around. There they normally love to sunbathe and laze about in peace, but recently the local humans have been noticing a big change.

The iguanas seem restless, becoming more aggressive and making spooky sounds at all hours of the night. And if the humans could speak their language, they would hear a distinct rallying cry: “Drive the humans back into the sea!”

The reason for their distress? A baby iguana named Iggie has been kidnapped from his home by a young boy—and that’s not the first time their habitat was disturbed by the humans of the island.

Led by Iggie’s father, Nasty, and driven by a growing spirit of rebellion, the iguanas plan to overthrow the humans. After all there are less than two hundred of them, and thousands of iguanas. They’re easily outnumbered, right?

But just when things are about to reach a boiling point, both sides find they have important lessons to learn about taking care of their environment ,and living in harmony with their fellow creatures, whether two-legged, four-legged, scaly, or smooth.
