A Review of Hope: A Wayfarers Story (The Wayfarers Stories Book 5)

This is a story about a group of travelers who set off on what appears to be a simple journey. Simple is the last thing that it is. These wayfarers encounter hell on earth as they journey onward during America’s last days. This is book five in a series. I didn’t get the impression that you had to start with book one to understand this one. I wasn’t lost at all having not read the others yet in the series.

What I particularly liked about this story were the colorful characters. The other thing that I really liked was how descriptive this book was. The author does a good job of making you feel exactly what these characters are feeling.  There seems to be something for everyone. Action, adventure, and even romance. I liked that. I also liked how the author portrayed the supernatural battle that these characters were going through.

Another thing that stood out to me was the author’s writing style. It reminded me a lot of two of my favorite authors Frank Peretti and Stephen King. Especially with the battles the characters face with the supernatural. Even though it is Christian fiction, I suspect you don’t have to be a Christian to enjoy it. He does a good job with portraying real life events and characters.

If you like strong, colorful characters and stories about love and the supernatural then I think this will be a book for you. The book is easy to read and I really connected with the characters. I felt myself not wanting their story to end. I would recommend this book.
