Keith, the anesthetist, chases Lloyd to a sub-basement, into a room with a tile floor that recedes to the whirring of an electric motor, and exposes a meter-wide, corpse grinder. A slick metal channel empties grim remains into the tide that flows into the Intracoastal Waterway. Lloyd escapes; he recruits his A-Team of his damaged, homeless heroes, to gain covert entry into the hospice, and obtain hard evidence for Captain Morton, and the D.A., of the cryonic, green gas, butcher’s locker; the tall glass cylinders stacked against the wall, that hold victims with unseeing eyes, in their half-life stasis.
After a wild chase, the Doctor, wounded, sneaks aboard the Varig 747 to Sao Paulo. Under a death sentence by the criminal Central Committee, he kills the Capo, and takes the reins of the international syndicate, that sets the stage for a sequel, and a future threat for Lloyd.
